Metabolic Cooking

One of the main themes of Fresh WorldWide, is the idea that there is a limited need to purchase special diet foods. there are many products out there, which promise quick results if you replace your meals. It may work for some, but what happens when you finish and get to your target weight? More often than not, it is likely that you start to gain some of the weight that you have fought so hard to lose.

Fresh WorldWide believes that we should be rethinking the way we approach food, rather than running away from it. There are many foods that naturally help you to lose weight, and if you eat these regularly, not only should you get healthy, you should stay that way for longer. For example, many nutritionists advise to increase the amount of vegetables in our diet. I can understand why, as they provide a good source of vitamins and minerals. But lets take celery for example. Did you know that the body takes more calories to burn celery than what it contains? My theory is that if you approach your cooking to include these ingredients more often, you will naturally raise your metabolism, and lose weight.

Dave Ruel and Karine Losier have created a recipe book called Metabolic Cooking, and I think that it neatly brings together this philosophy. Over 250 recipes of simple to make, delicious meals, which naturally raise your metabolism and can help you to get fresh, when especially when coupled with an exercise plan. This cookbook will form the basis of my goal to lose weight and get fresh, and I encourage you to take a look.
